Prepare for WorkKeys Assessments
ACT WorkKeys Assessments measure foundational skills required for success in the workplace and help measure the workplace skills that can affect job performance.
WorkKeys assessments vary in the kinds of skills they measure. Whether taking just one assessment or a series of them, targeted preparation will help you know what to expect on test day. There are several ways to prepare and improve your scores.
Take the WorkKeys Assessments
With WorkKeys, you’re in control. You can take the assessments on your own time, as many times as you want, and only share scores with employers when you’re ready. Each assessment offers varying levels of difficulty. The levels build on each other, incorporating the skills assessed at the previous levels. For example, at Level 5, individuals need the skills from Levels 3, 4, and 5. The complexity can also increase as the quantity and/or density of the information increases.
Earn Your NCRC
The ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (ACT WorkKeys NCRC®) is an assessment-based credential issued at four levels; Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
With an NCRC, you can:
- Build confidence that your skills meet the needs of employers
- Show prospective employers concrete proof of the skills you have
- Apply real-world use to coursework from the classroom
- Determine skill improvement and training needs
- Improve the opportunities for career changes and advancement
- Earn college credit at many institutions and reach academic goals more quickly
Share Your NCRC with Digital Badging
A badge is a digital asset used to communicate a learning achievement or credential. You can share your NCRC badge with anyone you’d like, wherever you’d like: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, email, on your resume, or embedded in a website. If you’re a Platinum, Gold, or Silver badge earner, you can also obtain college credits through digitally sharing your transcript with accepting institutions. A viewer can click on your badge and will be taken back to Credly to view all the details of your achievement. Upon earning your WorkKeys NCRC, you will receive an email from Credly to accept your digital badge.
