2022 marks the 8th annual National Apprenticeship Week and celebrations November 14th through the 20th to showcase the success and value of apprenticeship to rebuild the economy, advance equity, and support under-served communities. On Episode 36 of Ready for Work, we take you to the recent ACT Workforce Summit in New Orleans for a keynote presentation featuring the Woodworks program at RoyOMartin, a forestry-products leader in Louisiana and Texas. HR pro and Work Ready Communities ambassador, Donna Bailey presented a luncheon keynote on the three components that made Woodworks a success and some of the voices of excellence along the way. Episode 36 concludes with a quick introduction to the Apprenticeship Ambassador initiative from the U.S. Department of Labor.

About Donna Bailey
Donna Bailey is an experienced human resources executive and strategic partner with a demonstrated history of organization development, organizational change, industrial psychology, human capital, talent acquisition, leadership development, coaching and mentoring, along with directing and managing all functions of Human Resources.
As a driven professional with 16 years of Human Resources experience, Bailey has a B.A. in education from MSU, M.S. in human resources development with a concentration in leadership development from LSU, along with SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Baylor University conducting research on the gender gap in manufacturing.
Bailey is married to her best friend, Chad, and they have six children and four grandchildren who are the joy of their lives. Donna’s hobbies are traveling, photography, painting, gardening, and writing poetry, and her passion is music.
